Are there any preliminary schedules out for the 80th Cub Anniversary and Cubs 2 Oshkosh 2017? I am trying to plan vacation slots for 2017 and this would factor in. Any updates or information would be greatly appreciated.

Please plan to arrive in Hartford (KHXF) Wisconsin for the Friday night, July 21 activities. Late on Saturday, July 22nd, a required briefing for all pilots who are in the mass early Sunday morning flight will be held. So, I would suggest that all pilots reserve dates of July 21 through Wednesday July 26 to be a part of this Cub adventure in Hartford and then Oshkosh. Rick

The EAA website has a sign up page for type clubs planning to attend. I just googled flying into Oshkosh and clicked on the EAA link. You can add your name and email address and standby for updates. www.eaa.org/en/airventure/features-and-attractions/airventure-highlight-2016/2016_featured-aircraft-anniversaries/piper_j-3_cub It is a bit confusing as they show it as 2016 in some places and 2017 in others...click around a bit and you will find the Cub 80th Anniversary page. Good Luck!

What is the procedure for camping under the wing at OSH? Is that allowed in the "Field of Yellow"

I'm planning on it. I certainly would think it is expected, if not at least accepted and welcomed. Cub camping at Osh! It don't get no better than that!
